A rare set of English late 17th century polished steel and silver mounted firetools with historic restorations. Circa 1680.  

 Provenance: From the Estate of Lady Prudence Penn.

 Earlier examples of silver mounted firetools can be found in the Queen’s Bed Chamber at Ham House and fire irons ‘done wt silver’ were listed in several rooms in the 1677, 1679 and 1683 inventories.
