A pair of elegant early 19th century American ‘Boston’ brass andirons. The uprights with  brass balls tops and resting upon slipper feet. Circa 1810. Later alterations. to the log bars.

 A similar example stamped by the maker John Molineux is illustrated in the Brass Book by Peter, Nancy and Herbert Schiffer page 57(d) published in 1978
