A late 17th/early 18th century Italian pietra serena stone chimneypiece. Circa 1700. The moulded cornice above a barrel frieze resting upon shallow console jambs. Each jamb with deeply carved and stopped flutes and stylised foliated motifs in shallow relief on the sides. The whole resting upon an original matching hearth 10cms high (4ins).
